The Ohio Supreme Court is set to hear arguments regarding whether the Stark County Board of Elections violated the state’s Open Meetings Act by privately deliberating the purchase of Dominion voting machines. Look Ahead America, the plaintiff in the lawsuit, argues that such closed-door meetings hinder the public’s right to know about officials’ decision-making processes. However, even if Look Ahead America wins, it won’t reverse Stark County’s acquisition and use of 1,450 Dominion Voting Machines ICX touch-screen machines, as the funding and contract for the purchase were authorized by the Stark County commissioners.
