Efforts to modify election law changes that could disenfranchise thousands of Kansas voters failed to move state legislators. Thousands of ballots were included in the retabulation of the balots cast in Detroit’s mayoral election. Despite a recent decision to allow a college student to use a dorm address in filing for candidacy for local office, severe restrictions and inconveniences remain as obstacles for students voting in North Carolina. A federal court has allowed Texas to use controversial interim redistricting maps for the 2014 elections and the New Zealand Herald questions the decision in favor of internet voting trials in the 2016 election.
