A memo from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation informed employees not to mention that voter ID cards are free – unless they are specifically asked and a state employee was fired for alerting his friends of this policy using a government email address. The Muncie Star Press raised concerns over Indiana’s plan to remove the names of unopposed candidates from ballots and The Denver Post noted that democracy didn’t come to a halt when citizen volunteers were allowed to inspect ballots from Saguache County.
