Prior to earlier concerns of a bloated electoral register, Major Stakeholders in Togo’s elections say they are satisfied with the cleaning process and are ready to go to the Polls on Saturday April 25. They expressed the satisfaction when ECOWAS Chair President John Mahama, met with them in a follow up visit to ascertain their level of preparedness.
The visit is also inline with ECOWAS’ protocol to ensure that elections are held in a free and fair atmosphere. In an interview with Journalists after the meetings, President Mahama, said all stakeholders have expressed confidence in the Voters regiser but raised few concerns about the Electoral processes.
According to President Mahama, it has become necessary to direct the Independent National Electoral Commisssion INEC to quickly hold a News conference to address the concerns raised as soon as possible
